Our pen loops are constructed with elastic and matching leather. The addition of elastic allows the loop to stretch to make it easier to insert pens (especially larger ones).
A small amount of elastic is visible from the back side of the planner. This elastic is available in your choice of white or black - which ever you wish to have to suit your planner.

I ordered a weeks size cover in Hazelnut with black stitching and a black elastic. The leather is gorgeous! I love the floppiness and softness of it, but it’s also a nice sturdy leather.
